Reason for taking up this sport
Inspired by Brigitte Foster and Merlene Ottey, she loved sprinting, but she wasn't particularly fond of the 400m. Her coach Eldemire Smith was convinced it would be her best event. VYING FOR GOLD
She has won four silver medals at the IAAF World Championships [three in the 4x400m relay in 2005, 2007 and 2009 when she also won silver in the 400m. She also won silver in the 400m at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games along with a bronze in the 4x400m relay. (the-sports.org, 2011)
