BUSINESS
He runs a company with his wife, Sandra, who is also a competitive shooter. After six years of development, their company Uptagrafft LLC created a new .22 competition rimfire rifle action. CAREER
He worked with the United States Army Reserves as a laboratory technician in 1983, joined the Texas National Guard in 1985 and shot on the All Guard Shooting team for two years in both International Rifle and Service Rifle before joining the United States Army Marksmanship Unit in 1987 on the Service Rifle team. He attended the University of West Virginia on an athletic scholarship and graduated in 1995 with a degree in aerospace engineering. He received a direct commission into the Naval Reserve in 2001 prior to beginning work at Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corporation in Boulder, Colorado. (USA Shooting, 20 Jan 2004)
