Injuries

At the start of 2009 he suffered a crash during the Tirreno-Adriatico time trial in Macerata, Italy. He fell 20 feet off the side of the road, fractured his hip and broke the scaphoid bone in his wrist. (cyclingnews.com, 16 Mar 2009)
