Awards
She, along with Debbie Ferguson, Sevatheda Fynes, Pauline Davis-Thompson and Eldece Clark-Lewis were dubbed the Golden Girls in 1999 after their first place finish in the 4x100m relay at the 1999 World Championships. They then went on to win Olympic gold a year later. They were also invited to be patrons of the Bahamas Athletic Association Awards in January 2011 in recognition of the 10th anniversary of their achievements. She admits that she does not "spend a lot of time socialising" and that she does not drink and smoke. She stresses that she has always "gone home early" and always ensured that she was "on the right track".
