Nickname
His nickname, El Chapu, is a reference to the fictional Latin American super hero El Chapulin Colorado. The diminutive super hero was known for fighting for good against the odds. He got the nickname while growing up on the playgrounds of Galvez, in his native Argentina, because he never took a backwards step, even against older and bigger opponents.
