HEAVY METAL SYNCHRO
At the 2011 FINA World Championships in Shanghai, she and pairs partner Marie-Pier Boudreau-Gagnon will perform their routine to a melange of two fast-paced songs from heavy metal band Metallica. The pair will perform to a mix of the band's 1986 breakthrough hit Master of Puppets, and Enter Sandman from their self-titled 1991 [Black] album. Both versions of the songs were taken from a 1999 live recording with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. "It's pretty cool for our sport,'' Boudreau-Gagnon said. "It's new. Everyone in the rest of the world really thinks Metallica is a great routine physically. It's well received by the judges and the rest of the coaches around the world. We have made a good impact for sure." Her partner Marcotte said "I think it's good that we're making them judge outside of what they're used to. It's really the goal to show the power and the speed of the music and the power and the speed of the movements we can do." (ca.sports.yahoo.com, 15 Jul 2011)

She is in the Canadian national team since the young age of 16. (cbc.ca, 05 Aug 2008)
