In 2007, a right rib injury interrupted the second half of her season. The injury started at the DFS Classic tournament in Birmingham in May 2007, when she couldn't stop coughing because of a pollen allergy. An inflammation followed the injury and it was so painful she could not even walk for a month. She did not compete at Wimbledon or the US Open. It sidelined her for six months.
