Injuries

He suffered from a bulging disk in his back in late 1999. His back problems continued into 2000 and were exacerbated by a bout of tendinitis in his elbow. He also suffers from swimmers ear [Otitis Externa], an infection that can sometimes keeps him out of the training pool.
