PROLIFIC OLYMPIAN
He was top scorer at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, netting 14 goals in eight games. This tally included hat tricks in both the semifinal and final of the competition. At the 2004 Games in Athens his Olympic goalscoring form continued when he scored four goals in the gold medal match, helping his Hungarian team to its second-consecutive Olympic gold medal. He finished with a total of 14 goals in Athens, the fourth highest in the competition. He went on to be a part of the winning Hungarian team at Beijing 2008, capturing his country's ninth gold medal in water polo at Olympic level, a record.
