HIATUS AND COOKING
She contemplated retiring after the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. She took a year away from the sport and spent three months training as a professional cook, working at the Ottolenghi restaurant in London. She also designed a 'Can't cook, won't cook' cookery course for athletes. In 2009 she decided to return to the water. "I love the sport even more now I'm back."
