ATP PLAYERS COUNCIL
He was elected president of the ATP Players Council in June 2008. He had a reported disagreement with Rafael Nadal, the former vice president of the council, over the plans to overhaul the rankings system. Nadal was in favour of adopting a new system that calculated ranking over two years, but Federer was not in favour of this change. "I think it would make things rather boring," Federer said.
