MULTIPLE COMEBACKS
He announced his retirement from rowing in 2005 but returned to the international scene in 2007 and won gold at the 2008 Olympic Games. He then retired again, before announcing he would make another comeback in a bid to win a fifth Olympic medal, and fourth gold medal, at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. PUBLIC SPEAKING
He offers a range of professional lectures on themes such as motivation, the importance and link between mental and physical fitness, team building and health to private businesses and organisations. Part of his lectures involve health tests for employees in the workplace to help identify ways to improve their fitness.
