Additional information
Start of sporting career
She took up running in 2005 as a police recruit when she met her husband-to-be Alex Sang, who said she had the body of a runner. "They came around the [police] college asking for anyone interested in competing for them and I decided to give it a try, first as a joke, but then I noticed I could beat others and that's when I saw I had a future in running." (iaaf.org, 01 Sep 2010)
Reason for taking up this sport
After the birth of her child in 2008 she began to train seriously, urged on by her husband. She switched to steeplechase in 2009 after she found she was unable to register competitive times in 800m and 1500m. (iaaf.org, 01 Sep 2010)
Ambitions
"My aim is to become famous. I know I will make money if I continue performing well but I will not go to buy big cars or expensive clothing. I intend to use all my earning to improve the lives of my parents and invest in real estate." (iaaf.org, 01 Sep 2010)
