BAD SPLIT
Leaning over the pool deck for a drink of water just moments before he was due to swim at the FINA World Championships in Rome 2009, his swimsuit [Jaked01] split significantly in the back exposing his bottom. There was no time to change and US anchor leg Cullen Jones encouraged him to ignore the embarrassing attire and swim anyway. He dived in and contested the third leg to assist the team in placing fourth in their heat and secure a spot in the finals. Jones said afterwards, "They're all splitting. We're all having problems.
