BAN
In November 2011, the Federation Francaise de Cyclisme's [FFC] announced that he would receive a back-dated 12 month suspension for violating anti-doping regulations after missing a drugs test having already had two violations concerning rider availability for testing. Due to the ban being back-dated, he was due to only miss a month's action as his ban expired on 23 December 2011. In January 2012 the Union Cycliste Internationale [UCI] announced that he would be stripped of all the titles he won during the period of his ban, including his gold medal in the sprint event at the 2011 World Championships in Apeldoorn, Netherlands.
