There are many other ways to volunteer if you are not a Games Maker: both during and after the Games.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of sport and without them, a lot of sport simply wouldn't happen. That’s why Sport England has teamed up with Olympic great Sir Steve Redgrave to launch Sport Makers, an official part of London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic sporting legacy.
Sport Makers
Sport Makers is for everyone who'd like to make sport happen for their friends, neighbours or colleagues. As a Sport Maker, you could be one of 40,000 like-minded people who are making a difference to grass roots sport in communities across England.
