Today was the first step on my journey so I started with some practice by interviewing my friend. This is what Charlotte said: 'Lots of people from London, Birmingham and Canada came to visit our school today to give us a lot of information on Beijing and what Reece is going to be up to. The most exciting bit was being filmed throughout the morning. We are very excited for Reece because he is going to be seeing and doing a lot of things.'
Charlotte said she was glad that my name was pulled out of the hat because she wanted it to be one of her friends. 'Reece deserves to go because he's a very fast runner and always wins the running race on sports day!
'I learned lots of things about Beijing and about a man and a lady who talked to us about their jobs. They were Physiotherapists, like medical people who make athletes muscles better by massaging them, or stop them bleeding when they get cut so they can continue to compete in the games. We asked them how they got interested in becoming physiotherapists and the man said he used to design the limbs and got interested in helping the athletes further. We asked how much money the limbs cost some athletes use to run on and they said 2 to 3 thousand pounds EACH!! Wow.... that's more than a car!
'Reece was photographed and filmed with us and we are all looking forward to seeing our pictures on the Olympics website or in the newspapers.
'We all had a great day and are looking forward to hearing Reece's stories from China.'
