After an excellent introduction from Khadijah and Hamzah, I took to the stage to tell the children about my job, assuring the surface and groundwater across the Park. I also talked about the work of my team in making sure the priority theme of Sustainability is incorporated into design and construction throughout the programme. Afterwards I took questions, and was very impressed with the level of understanding of our work.
I was extremely nervous before getting onto the stage, I’m used to addressing conferences, but not primary school kids! But the reception was fantastic and I really enjoyed myself. So much so that I signed up for the next event on the spot!
