I've been in London this week with colleagues from other National Olympic Committees from around the world. We were invited by LOCOG - the London 2012 Organising Committee - to find out their plans so far and see the Olympic Park and ExCeL. London's a lovely city with a lot to offer and I was impressed by what I saw and heard.
At the Olympic Park:
During the visit we've also been discussing where our team might go for the Pre-Games Training Camps, talking with representatives from potential training venues around the UK. We've had offers from several towns and regions and I'll be working with my executive to decide what's best for us.
Back in Haiti, we're now using sport to help give children a focus. Alongside partners including Unicef and Sport Without Borders, we're going into the refugee camps with a joint programme of education and sport training. We're giving them something to look forward to, something to aim for - sport is providing pyschological help in rebuilding our country. London 2012 can be a focus for that.
