Just this week the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) Filming team arrived at the Olympic Stadium for one of our regular visits to film and photograph the recent construction developments taking place. This time around we were able to capture these fabulous

It is the 25,000-seat lower bowl of the Stadium that will be fitted out with the concrete rakers. The huge rakers themselves are pre-cast on site, very close to where the Stadium is being built.

After being cast the rakers are finished by hand if necessary:



One-by-one the pre-cast rakers are taken by lorry along the short journey to the inside of the Stadium where they are carefully manovered into place by crane:

This panoramic photograph was shot from the south-east corner of the Stadium up on one of the eight towering green cranes stationed at the Stadium. The picture gives us a real sense of the bowl shape of the Stadium and we can visualise the seats rolling all the way around:
