We were then joined by David Byers, Chief Executive of Ulster Orchestra, whose 'Pied Piper' project is the first in Northern Ireland to be awarded the Inspire mark, and the competition hotted up. And then the City of Song singers from Derry in costume joined us... Former Olympic bronze medallist for Boxing, Hugh Russell, was one of the assembled photographers and he was finding our athletic attempts highly amusing. I can't imagine why.

There are already 18 events in Northern Ireland registered for Open Weekend, including Carrickfergus Castle lighting up in London 2012 colours at 20.12 on 26 and 27 September and the libraries at Enniskillen, Londonderry and Omagh opening up access to closed collections including the Omagh Bomb Archive.
