This week Ed Clancy, world champion and gold medal-winning Team GB cyclist, gave us the thumbs up when he visited the Velodrome and saw that the double-curved roof had been lifted into place. This photo shows Ed in the centre of the Velodrome.  

In this photo you can see the steel framework of the Basketball Arena coming out of the ground on the Olympic Park. The first of 20, 10-storey-high steel arches have been lifted into place.

Finally, children at Sir Thomas More RC School in Haringey received a visit from London 2012 Organising Committee Chair Seb Coe.
