HRH The Duchess of Cambridge smiles as she meets the GB Hockey team at the Riverside Arena on the Olympic Park on 15 March. Kate viewed the Olympic Park and took part in a light training session with the men's and women's GB Hockey teams. She even managed to score a goal!
Also this week, the Army, Navy and RAF were announced as the official flag bearers for the Victory Ceremonies at the Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer!
TV presenter and sports fan Ben Shepherd paid a visit to students from Gateshead to mark 'Get ready for London 2012 World Sport Day'.
And last but not least is this image of our Olympic and Paralympic Village... it was announced this week that athletes will be treated to 'gold medal standard' accommodation during the Games!
