Another busy week at London 2012, especially for the Olympic and Paralympic mascots, Wenlock and Mandeville! Earlier this week, along with Seb Coe, they visited pupils at Perryfields Primary School to help launch the 'support a team' initiative for school

Thursday saw the mascots visit the Great Ormond Street Hospital School and Westfield Stratford City for the launch of their new song 'On a Rainbow'. Written and performed by McFly star Tom Fletcher, the song also features Tom's sister Carrie and pupils from the West Leigh Junior School Choir in Southend-on-Sea.

The song is based on Wenlock and Mandeville’s journey to the London 2012 Games and is available to download now.

As if that wasn't exciting enough for the mascots, Thursday also saw the premiere of 'Rainbow Rescue', the third film the duo have starred in. Written by British author Michael Morpurgo, the film features CGI animated versions of Olympic and Paralympic athletes and is narrated by TV and film personality Stephen Fry.

'Rainbow Rescue' will be shown in more than 100 ODEON cinemas nationwide before selected family movies from 25 November to 23 December 2011 but if you can't wait until then, you can watch the trailer online now.

Phew, what an exhausting week for our mascots. They deserve a well-earned rest after all that excitement!

That's all for this week, have a great weekend whatever you do
