This week saw the first of the London 2012 test events that will make sure that our venues are ready to host each of the Olympic and Paralympic sports in just over a year. The pictures from Greenwich Park are a brilliant taste of what's to come. Here is a

Here you can see Pippa Funnel (GBR) riding her horse Billy Shannon at fence 5 on the Cross Country course with Canary Wharf as the backdrop.

Another brilliantly vibrant shot of the competition taking place at the test event in Greenwich Park this week! In the background you can see some of the 5,000 strong crowd, largely made up of local schoolchildren, who helped to create a great atmosphere in the Park.

Also this week 100 members of the ODA's Construction Crew, local schoolchildren that have followed the construction project first hand, launched the 'construction kit' inside the completed Olympic Stadium with Olympic Gold medal winning sprinter Marlon Devonish.
