 This week Paralympic gold medallist Oscar 'the blade runner' Pistorius visited the London 2012 Olympic Stadium ahead of competing in the BT Paralympic World Cup in Manchester.

Olympic gold-medal winner Jonathan Edwards and ODA Chairman John Armitt planted a large 20 year old oak tree in the centre of the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Olympic Park Great British Garden with Hannah Clegg (11), who won the young people's section, and Rachel Read, who won the adult category.

The competition was to design the quarter of an acre garden next to the Olympic Stadium.
