The Main Press Centre's (MPC) concrete structure is now complete, with a number of windows already in place in the 30,000sq m building. The MPC will allow journalists from around the world to provide round-the-clock news coverage during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Some of the key moments they'll be highlighting to the world are, of course, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
This week we announced some famous names have joined the London 2012 Ceremonies team to direct and produce the Ceremonies. They include Oscar winning film and theatre director Stephen Daldry; concert, theatre and Beijing 2008 Games designer Mark Fisher; Grammy and BAFTA award nominated TV director Hamish Hamilto; and experienced ceremonies producer Catherine Ugwu. Danny Boyle, who won an Oscar for Slumdog Millionaire, is also in the line up, as Artistic Director for the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.
