See what has been happening at London 2012 this week...Gethin Jones was at Bangor Pier in Wales to help launch the public nomination process to find 8,000 Olympic Torchbearers.


Construction continues to progress inside the Aquatics Centre, with 30,000 treated timber ceiling panels now fitted. All 180,000 tiles have been installed in the three pools, and the distinctive curved diving boards have been cast.

Wenlock and Mandeville celebrate their first birthday with London 2012 table tennis hopeful Hannah Hicks and children from Kilburn Park Foundation School. Happy birthday guys!
