The crowd got really into this short, intense match and their support really added to the athlete’s experience – the athletes for their part made a real effort to acknowledge the crowd after the Korean victory. No medals in this session, but good fun all-round.

The excitement, the big screen and the interest shown by the crowd made me think of the live sites back home, especially the ones that have been installed because of the inspiration of the Games, but leaving a lasting legacy of civic performance and celebration space beyond 2012.

I've heard that over 50,000 visited those screens to watch the opening ceremony. I hope that people living near the UK screens can visit them this weekend to watch the very many Team GB medal prospects and share their experience with other members of their community.
