During the London 2012 Games, Weightlifting will be held at ExCeL, where 15 gold medals will be awarded.Matthias Steiner of Germany celebrates winning a gold medal in men's Weightlifting with his coach Frank Mantek at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.


Joe De Pietro from the USA lifts 231.25 lbs despite only being 4ft 8in in height. He went on to win the gold medal at the Weightlifting event at the London 1948 Olympic Games.
