Boccia was introduced to the Paralympic programme at the New York and Stoke Mandeville 1984 Games. At London 2012 there will be seven medal events on the programme, all of which are open to both male and female competitors.

The competition during the London 2012 Paralympic Games will take place at ExCeL.
