6. Newcastle's Tyneside Cinema – interviewed by young film makers who have to compile score's of local events from the weekend into just eight minutes. Hopefully I'll hit the cutting room floor to make space for AfroLata from the Brazilian favelas, The Gateshead Family Sculpture day, and Theatre Royal's 'Second's Out' – featuring a merger of boxing and Cuban dance in an open air boxing ring under the Gray Monument.
7. Derby's Market Place – the city is buzzing on Sunday evening after 25,000 people have made the Derby Feste a huge success – a free street festival created especially for and inspired by the Cultural Olympiad. The talk of the town is the new Quad Arts Centre and 'Transports Exceptionnels' - a tender love duet played out in the Market Place between a dancer and an industrial digger!
