The last seven days...
Shooting: The European Championship (10m) is currently taking place in Finland. Athletes are competing for a quota place for their nation in the Air Pistol and Air Rifle competitions. There are four quota places available in each of these disciplines of the men’s and women’s competition.

Track Cycling: The UCI Track Cycling World Cup, presented by Samsung is currently underway in the Velodrome on the Olympic Park. While athletes are not able to qualify directly from this event, it is one of the last opportunities for them to gain points towards the UCI rankings which do count towards qualification and are important for those nations still trying to secure starting spots for London 2012.

Para-cycling: The Para-Cycling Track World Championships wrapped up in Los Angeles on 12 February with Great Britain topping the medal table. The event was the last chance for athletes to secure all-important points towards UCI rankings, with qualification spots for London 2012 based on world rankings as at 13 February.

The week ahead...
Hockey: The first of three Olympic qualification tournaments gets underway in India this weekend, with a berth at London 2012 the prize for the winners. Teams from India, Canada, France, Poland, Italy and Singapore will fight it out in the men’s competition, while South Africa, India, Italy, Poland, Ukraine and Canada are competing for the spot in the women's.

Diving: The 18th FINA Visa Diving World Cup 2012 is the last Individual and Synchronised Diving qualification opportunity for the London 2012 Olympic Games and is the first event to take place in the Aquatics Centre on the Olympic Park. In the Individual events, divers compete in the 10m Platform and 3m Springboard competitions. In each men’s and women’s event, the 18 semi-finalists will obtain a quota place for their National Olympic Committee (NOC), up to a maximum of two athletes per NOC. In the Synchronised events, (the men’s and women’s 3m Springboard and 10m Platform) the four highest-ranked teams that have not previously qualified, will gain a place at London 2012.

Canoe Slalom: The Oceania Canoe Slalom Championships begin on 24 February in Perth, Australia. There are qualification slots available for the winning NOCs in Canoe Single (C1) men, and men’s and women’s Kayak (K1).
