Staff from Downpatrick Library were on hand to guide visitors to genealogy websites and to highlight the resources that could be accessed in the South Eastern Education and Library Board local studies library.

There was also an opportunity to join a family or local history society, buy some books on genealogy, access the Centre for Migration Studies' Emigration Database for those whose ancestors left for America, or to discover the resources in Down Museum.

Hopefully those who came to the PRONI stand are off the starting block and are on track to trace those long lost ancestors!
