Equality and Inclusion on the Olympic Park
Kola, Equality and Inclusion Advisor
I'm the Equality and Inclusion Advisor for the south side of the Olympic Park - it’s a really niche role and there’s always somebody asking me questions about something – the proportion of people who are coming to work by public transport, etc. Generally,

Like any major project, this is a really busy – and sometimes hectic – place to be. I’m fortunate because I have something that keeps me focused and relaxed. Though not quite at Olympic standard, I am a keen fencer. Of the three weapons, I prefer the Epee. It’s fast paced, and the whole body is target.

Not only do I attend my local club in Bexley, I’m also the captain of the team and a regular on the competition circuit. I can even lay claim to two Kent Regional silver medals (team and individual). My main focus at the moment is a string of competitions I’ve got coming up over the next few weekends. This Saturday it’s Edinburgh – just round the corner from Glasgow’s 2014 spectacle. If I can still walk by the time I get back on Sunday evening, I’ll update you all next week.
