On my way to our first Construction Crew workshop I felt scared because I didn’t know anyone that was going to be there, but at the same time I felt happy to have the opportunity to learn new things.

I learnt how to be more confident, which will help me to get ready for the graduation presentation in July 2011. I got to meet lots of nice new people. We learnt about choices, responsibility and looked at the history and archaeology of the Olympic Park site. I liked hearing about all the things that were found across the site like the old cobble street and the family of skeletons.

It was interesting to see some of the things that were found close up, like the reindeer antler, pipe and pieces of an old bowl. At the end of the first day I felt happy - but sad because it was over! But I am less nervous and am able to talk in front of more people than before.

I feel proud to be chosen to be part of the Construction Crew and am looking forward to learning more about London 2012 as I love sport. It was amazing to see the Olympic Stadium so close, it’s huge! I hope that I will get to see some of the Olympics at the Stadium in 2012. It will be exciting to see what happens to the Olympic Stadium after the Olympics and Paralympics has finished.
