The event took place at Germany's most iconic landmark, the Brandenburg Gate and featured demonstrations in Table Tennis, Long Jump, Football and Basketball.
There were a wide variety of elite athletes from all over the world including the female Chinese Basketball Team and our very own Ade Adepitan.
The event kicked off with some fantastic cultural performances from a great percussion trio and a female dance performance. There were then a number of speeches from senior German government Ministers and the activities were declared officially open by the International Paralympic Committee Chairman, Sir Philip Craven.
The event allowed the public to meet the sports stars and have a go at the sports - proving hugely popular.
Throughout the day thousands of people enjoying the excitement of the competition and seeing Paralympic sport 'up close' for the first time, which is great for the movement as a whole.
This stunning, iconic location and the excitement of the event itself has made for a great visit to Berlin. It has also been a gloriously sunny day, which feels like light years from the torrential weather of Luton Airport I left behind just a few hours ago!
My mission today was to look at whether it would be possible to mount a similar event in London or the UK and meet with the organisers. Having soaked up the great atmosphere of the day, I am sure a similar event in the UK would be terrific.
