The hosts were an enterprise agency for Hackney, they had provided an excellent training room complete with PCs so businesses could get signed up straight away.
Together we explored pictures of the London 2012 venues, talked about how the building is going and looked at the wide range of business opportunities already offered and won. It was really good to hear that 13 companies in Hackney have already been on the shortlists for business contracts and there was everything to play for in the future. After the workshop people filed into the training room and before I left at least six businesses were signed up, with others waiting for a PC or rushing back to the office to use their own.
Business is alive and well in Hackney with loads of enthusiasm for the future.
