These overarching principles build on our existing positive agreement with construction unions covering the work to deliver the venues and infrastructure for London 2012. Ensuring a safe working environment is a vital part of this agreement. With 2,600 workers on the Olympic Park site, I am pleased to announce that over a million working hours without a reportable accident have been reached for a fifth time on the Olympic Park site since the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) gained possession of the Park in July 2007 - a real accomplishment.
