A Nations and Regions trip to Beijing in pictures
Angela, Nations and Regions team
I was out in Beijing for six days, looking and learning along with other LOCOG colleagues, and representatives from across the UK. It was great to see everything first hand.

The Chinese have done a great job of 'dressing' the city, bringing the look and feel of the Games to Beijing - these pics show just a couple of examples:

And, as you will have seen by now, the venues are fantastic, both from the outside...

...and by night:

We were also here to launch the Pre-Games Training Camp Guide, which features over 600 facilities from across the UK. Representatives from the nations and regions came to talk to National Olympic Committees and International Federations about their areas and the facilities on offer for teams wanting to train in the UK before the Games:

In the venues it's been really interesting to see how they're approaching the presentation of sport, for example the giant screens announcing an Olympic record...

...and showing dancing mascots, the 'Friendlies'

I've was also lucky enough to see Team GB winning medals in the Rowing - one of the many highlights of this trip
