'Sue, our 'Active Schools' lady, ran our cycling training so they could all see what we have been doing. I thought Lord Coe might bring his bike, but I don’t know where he would have put it because the bike rack was full again. I loved getting my picture taken, especially with Lord Coe. The interview with him was fantastic and he asked lots of good questions. He liked my helmet, and I told him he should go to Fort William because you only get them there.
'He also came on the cooking bus. The cooking bus is at school all week and we are all having chance to cook on it. We cooked samosas, made salad and had smoothies. What a great birthday I had.'
Rebecca, Jordan and Harri:
'Lord Coe visited Lochside School yesterday. He was watching the cycle groups cycle. I kept wobbling because I thought I might fall off in front of the cameras. He got his picture taken with Harri and Fraser with the cycle friendly award for Lochside. He kept telling Harri to smile for the cameras, but Harri was a bit stressed about it because there were loads of cameras.
'Later we got to meet Lord Coe and talk to him. He asked what sports we like, and told us about the sports he plays. Reece asked how old he was and he told us that he was 52 but we thought he was in his 30s! Rhys asked what inspired him to be a runner and he told us about his PE teacher and coach. I asked him if he would coach us, but he lives too far away. Perhaps he could do it by webcam now we have them at school.
'We asked him about the Olympic Games and he told us how amazing it is to be in the Games. I hope I can win medals like him one day. I thought he was brilliant. It was a pleasure to meet him and I hope he comes again.'
